Redmi 9 has been launched in India as the latest budget smartphone by Xiaomi. The new call comes just a month after a Chinese company launched the Redmi 9 Prime in South Africa. The Redmi 9 is a modified version of the Redmi 9C launched in Malaysia in late June.
The smartphone has a water-style notch and holds two rear cameras. The Redmi 9 also has a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging. In addition, the new smartphone is available as a Redmi 8 fan launched last year.
Price of Redmi 9 in India
The price of the Redmi 9 in India is set at Rs 8,999 which is different from the last 64GB, while the last 128GB option comes with a price of Rs. 9,999. The phone has three different color options, namely Carbon Black, Sky Blue, and Sporty Orange.
In the acquisition phase, Redmi 9 will be sold nationally via Amazon and Mi.com. Its first sale will begin at 12 noon (noon) on August 31. In addition, the phone will soon be available in Mi Home stores and offline retailers in the country.
Significantly, Xiaomi unveiled the international version of Redmi 9 in Spain in June with a clearer list of details than its Indian counterpart. The phone went on sale in the Spanish market at an initial price of EUR 149 (approximately Rs. 13,000).
Details of Redmi 9
The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 9 runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top and features a 6.53-inch HD + (720x1,600 pixels) Dot Drop display with a 20: 9 factor ratio. Powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. In photos and videos, the Redmi 9 comes with a dual rear camera setting that includes a large 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel second, depth sensor. This is not the same as the Redmi 9C with three rear camera sensors. The new phone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
Xiaomi has provided 64GB and 128GB storage options on the Redmi 9 both expandable with MicroSD card (up to 512GB) with dedicated spaces. Connection options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS / A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back.
The Redmi 9 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging (most compatible charger). Besides, the phone measures 164.9x77.07x9.0mm.
